Websites for bakeries in the Philippines
Custom orders arrive as a long back-and-forth about sizes, flavours, lead time and deposits. Every one of those answers is the same every time, and none of them are written down anywhere a customer can find.
Every custom order starts from zero.
Sizes, flavours, lead time, deposit. The same long back-and-forth, in messages, one customer at a time.
None of it is written down anywhere a customer can read before they ask, so you type it again on Monday.
An illustration: a map of search results shows three competing businesses marked with pins and one dashed outline labelled "you?" where a business has no listing.
An order page that has already answered them.
What you make, what it costs, how far ahead to order and how the deposit works, in plain words on one page.
The messages that arrive after that are orders, not interviews.
An illustration: a search results page reorders so that your business, with its website address and review stars, moves to the top of the list.
What a bakery site has to carry.
Not a feature list. These are the things people go looking for and leave when they cannot find.
- What you make, with sizes and prices where they are fixed
- How custom orders work: lead time, deposit, how far ahead to book
- Pickup and delivery, and the cutoff for each
- Photos of your actual cakes
- Whether you take same-day
Every one of these is in the Basic build or above. See what each package includes, or look at what we have built.
Questions we get from bakeries.
We only sell online, no shop. Does that change anything?
It changes what the site leads with. Without a walk-in address the page has to carry ordering, lead time and delivery coverage up front. We build for order-only bakeries as a normal case, not an exception.
Can people order and pay on the site?
That is e-commerce, which is the Premium build. On smaller packages we set up an enquiry path with the questions you always end up asking, so the first message already has the answers in it.
How do we show seasonal items?
As content you can switch on and off rather than a page we have to rebuild each December. Say so at the quote stage and it is designed in.
